    Ken Fisher is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Fisher Investments. He also serves as Fisher Investments’ Chief Investment Officer, heading up the three-member Investment Policy Committee, which makes all strategic investment decisions for the firm’s institutional and private clients.

     

    Ken Fisher is perhaps best known for his Forbes’ Portfolio Strategy column. His Forbes annual market forecasts have been ranked among the most accurate, as measured by third-party research firm CXO Advisory Group. The research firm’s “Guru Grades” rates the accuracy of publicly available expert forecasts on the stock market — Ken Fisher is currently ranked among the top stock market forecasters.*

     

    Ken Fisher has written six books including three New York Times Bestsellers: 2009’s How to Smell a Rat, 2008’s The 10 Roads to Riches, and 2006’s The Only Three Questions that Count. Others include The Wall Street Waltz and 100 Minds That Made the Market, re-released by John Wiley & Sons under the Fisher Investment Series. In 2008, Ken Fisher’s firm created a new publishing imprint, Fisher Investments Press, in collaboration with John Wiley & Sons. Under the publishing imprint, Fisher Investments has, and will continue to, release a series of investment sector guides and other books for both professional and hobbyist investors.

     

    Ken Fisher has been published, interviewed and/or been written about in many major American, British and German finance or business periodicals. He has a weekly column in Focus Money, Germany’s leading weekly finance magazine. A prize winning researcher, his credits span a multitude of professional and scholarly journals as well as his firm’s output—in both modern investing and behavioral finance.     When Ken is not researching current market trends, his hobbies include the history of Kings Mountain, California and 19th century redwood lumbering history. In 2006, Ken founded the Kenneth L. Fisher Chair in Redwood Forest Ecology at Humboldt State University, and has been recognized by his alma mater (HSU Economics, ’72) with the Distinguished Alumni Award, received for his many advances and accomplishments in the world of finance. He resides in Woodside, California with his wife, Sherrilyn. They have three adult sons. Ken is currently ranked #289 on the 2009 Forbes 400 list of richest Americans.
