In 2008 a survey, Business Week named Fisher Investments one of the best places to launch a career.
To determine winners, Business Week first surveyed career services directors at numerous U.S. colleges to better understands which employers were at the top of their lists. In turn, employers then provided information on hiring, pay, benefits and training programs which were then compared to others in the same industry. Finally, Universum Communications, a Philadelphia research firm, surveyed over 40,000 U.S. undergraduates on their most desirable employers. Business Week rankings then combined the components.
According to the Business Week survey results “Fisher Investments scored particularly well among career services directors and students. Of the 119 firms listed in the survey, Fisher Investments was ranked number 90, and one of only 10 financial services firms in the rankings. Fisher and Vanguard were the only two firms on the list that were relatively pure plays on asset management. At the time of the survey, Fisher was one of the list’s smaller firms, a testament to the firm’s commitment to human capital development.”
