Fisher Investments Digital Accessibility Statement

This statement has been prepared to inform users about our accessibility efforts—including information about relevant legal and technical standards—and to help support users who may encounter accessibility issues.

Our Policy & Commitment

Fisher Investments is committed to providing all individuals with access to our services. As part of that commitment, it is our policy to substantially conform our website and other digital experiences to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Our Digital Accessibility Team, with the assistance of third-party consultants, is constantly working to conform our digital experiences to those guidelines through various methods, including incorporating universal design principles and regular testing—both via automated tools and manual reviews using assistive technology.

Accessibility Help

Our efforts to improve digital accessibility are ongoing as accessibility standards evolve. However, please note accessibility is also dependent on the device, operating system, browser, or assistive technologies which users may employ. As a result, certain factors impacting accessibility may be outside of our control.

If you experience difficulty using our website or other digital experiences (such as our mobile application or digital PDF documents), please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page. You may also email us at accessibility@fi.com. If possible, please include relevant information that may help us troubleshoot the issue, such as device type, operating system, browser and any assistive technology you use. As this email is for general accessibility support only, please do not include personal information, account numbers or any other confidential information in your message.

For help customizing your computer or device so it conforms to your individual accessibility needs, it may be helpful to visit some of the following third-party support pages:

For the best accessibility experience, we recommend using one of these assistive devices and technology/browser combinations. Other assistive technology may work, at least in part, with our digital experiences, but you may not have the best user experience.

Website Accessibility

We use design standards that help customers identify, interpret, understand and interact with information presented on our websites. For example, we have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Text-based descriptions: Alt text is used for images where appropriate. Alternatives for non-text content such as charts or graphs is provided as written information available in plain language.
  • Screen reader compatibility: Websites are designed and tested to be functional with leading screen reader tools.
  • Multimedia alternatives: When applicable, captions/subtitles, transcripts, audio description, and alternative text accompanying visual and multimedia content is provided.
  • Sufficient contrast and zoom functionality: Websites are tested for sufficient contrast for users with visual disabilities. Instructions and capabilities for zooming and/or increasing text size are available.
  • Simple navigation: Websites are designed with logical layouts featuring consistent headings, landmarks, and navigation.
  • Keyboard accessibility: Functions can be operated via keyboard.
  • Help and support: Support and documentation are available in accessible formats.
  • Error notifications: Clear and descriptive error messages guide users in resolving and preventing errors.
  • Perceivable content: Visual and auditory information is presented in ways that are adaptable to users' needs.
  • Operable interface: The website is navigable by keyboard and works well with assistive technologies, such as screen readers.
  • Understandable design: Our interface uses clear and simple language and avoids unnecessary complexity.
  • Robust content: Our website is compatible with common user agents, including assistive technologies.

We have adopted the following practices to enhance every user’s experience:

  • Ongoing accessibility training: Our team receives regular training on accessibility best practices, developing the skills to keep our website accessible and consistent with current standards.
  • Regular testing: We continually test our services against the latest accessibility guidelines and make necessary updates to sustain accessibility.
  • Feedback mechanisms: Users may contact us via webform or phone. We provide the dedicated accessibility@fi.com e-mail box to receive feedback and assistance requests on accessibility issues.
  • Self-evaluation: Internal audits and evaluations of our websites are conducted regularly.
  • Third-party audits and testing: Human audits of our main website and apps are conducted annually by external accessibility experts. Additional sites are reviewed on an ad-hoc basis by these third parties as well, both pre- and post-production.
  • Monitoring: Automated conformance scans at regularly scheduled intervals, including after every software sprint.
  • CI/CD testing: Testing for accessibility errors in code during the development pipeline is included as part of the pre-release testing cycle.
  • Record keeping: Internal reporting on accessibility conformance activities is conducted.

PDF Document Accessibility

In concert with the efforts and practices mentioned above, we are actively working to improve the usability and accessibility of our library of digital PDF documents. We test PDFs against WCAG 2.2 and PDF/UA (PDF/Universal Accessibility) standards—both via automated testing tools and manual reviews using assistive technology. In instances where we uncover accessibility issues, we seek to remediate as soon as possible.

For the most accessible experience, we recommend accessing digital PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download), which you can download for free here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/. If you encounter issues accessing one of our PDFs, please email us at accessibility@fi.com so we can assist.
