Our simple, personalized new-client-onboarding process is designed to be straightforward and collaborative. It features specialized resources designed to give you confidence and peace of mind that your financial future will be handled with care and experience.
Becoming a New Client
The start of your financial journey with us is a personalized process designed to prioritize your unique needs, financial situation and long-term goals. Below is a step-by-step process of what to expect as you become a new client.
1. Initial Consultation
Begin your journey with Fisher Investments, by requesting an appointment to speak with an experienced Fisher Investments representative. We’ll take the time to learn about your financial goals, unique circumstances and current investments, and together, we will determine if we are the right fit for you and your long-term goals.
2. Letter of Agreement
If Fisher is the right fit for you and you want to formally become a client, you will complete a Fisher Investments Letter of Agreement.
3. What You Need to Know as a New Client
After you’ve signed the Letter of Agreement, you’ll receive Fisher Investments’ Client Owner’s Manual, which highlights our commitment to helping you achieve your investment goals with tailored portfolios and personalized service. It also answers many common client questions about our investment philosophy, financial planning services and approach to money management.
4. Client Service Team Introduction
Next, you’ll be introduced to your Client Service Team, your primary points of contact with Fisher Investments and liaisons to the strategic portfolio decision-makers, the Investment Policy Committee (IPC). During this in-depth introduction, we’ll seek to learn more about your retirement goals, financial situation, family, health, as well as your interests and aspirations. The better we know you, the better we can tailor an investment strategy to your unique financial objectives.
5. Account Set-Up & Funding
We’ll assist you in establishing your account(s) with large, well-known third-party financial institutions who will be your custodian and hold your assets. To make the process as simple and seamless as possible, we will help you complete any necessary paperwork to establish your account(s) and initiate transfers.
6. Financial Summary & Portfolio Recommendation
Your Client Service Team will share details from your introductory meeting with our Portfolio Evaluation Group, who will create a portfolio recommendation tailored to you at the direction of the IPC. We’ll walk you through this recommendation to help clarify every aspect.
7. Strategy Implementation
Once you’ve discussed and approved your portfolio recommendation with your Client Service Team, Fisher Investments will implement your tailored strategy.
8. Ongoing Support
After becoming a Fisher Investments client, you’ll receive world-class client service and support tailored to you. This includes exclusive client communications to keep you informed about our latest views on capital markets, along with access to financial planning, estate planning and tax planning resources.
Evolving with You to Keep Your Goals on Track
On a quarterly basis, your Client Service Team will reach out to you to share updates on our current market forecast, discuss your strategy and assist with any financial needs.
