New Clothes, Same Analysis, Same Faces for MarketMinder’s Digest

Our weekly newsletter is getting a refresh!

Fun fact: Every Friday, MarketMinder sends a weekly digest of our best and most newsworthy writings. Many of you subscribe, which, thank you! And if you don’t, may we humbly suggest this is a good time to sign up? Because we are refreshing things, and we think you will like it.

For years, we have sent a weekly roundup of our commentary and the best (in our opinion!) from the What We’re Reading sidebar. This Digest dates back to MarketMinder’s mid-2000s’ birth and has only rarely undergone updates. So as can happen, it started feeling a bit stale. It looked a little, well, mid-2000s-ish. The look was plain and text-heavy, and there was a lot of Fisher Investments-related content that didn’t make it in.

So we sent some surveys and gathered some feedback. To those of you who responded, none of this is news. (And thank you for your input!) But here is some news: We made changes, big changes, based on what you told us.

First and foremost, you told us you really like our content and appreciate the weekly delivery. Which made us go a bit Sally Field for a moment (You like us! You really like us!), so thank you! You also mentioned you would be interested in links to the wider variety of content Fisher Investments produces, including videos, podcasts, thoughts from our illustrious founder and Executive Chairman, Ken Fisher, and more. So we worked with Fisher Investments’ designers and Corporate Communications folks, who used some technology tools and made something new, shiny, modern—and not mid-2000s-ish—for you.

This Friday, we will begin testing this. Hence, some of you will receive a new-look digest. We will start small, as always, to iron out any kinks, but soon all subscribers will get the shiny new version. It will still have the same MarketMinder articles and news story analysis you know and love, all still written by us and the rest of your friendly neighborhood MarketMinder editorial staff—the excellent Christopher Wong, Ken Liu, Chris Ciarmiello, Sam Lerner and Reed Guernsey. Fisher Investments’ Research Analysts will also continue making cameos and contributing behind the scenes. Same editorial staff, same insight, same tone, same jokes, same occasionally witty footnotes.[i]

But now, the Digest will bring you even more! More color, more pictures, more videos, more audio, and more from Ken Fisher and other Investment Policy Committee members. Because we live in the future and technology is cool, the format will morph from week to week to ensure you are getting the latest and greatest from all channels. We think you will find it twice as fun and informative.[ii]

So be on the lookout! And again, if you don’t already get our digest, sign up! Tell your friends!

Lastly, if you have any feedback, please let us know. There is a link at the bottom of this (and all) MarketMinder posts to email us directly. We read it all, and it really does help. And, as this project shows, we use your feedback to help bring you new, fresh ideas and content.
